According to supply chain sources, Apple's second-generation Vision Pro headset will incorporate cutting-edge micro-OLED displays capable of delivering 8K resolution per eye. This represents a significant upgrade from the already impressive displays in the current model.

What We Know So Far

The new display panels are reportedly being manufactured by Sony's semiconductor division, leveraging their latest OLED-on-silicon technology. Each panel is expected to measure approximately 1.4 inches diagonally while packing in an extraordinary pixel density.

This could be the most significant leap in display technology since the transition from LCD to OLED in smartphones.

Beyond the Display

Beyond the display improvements, the Vision Pro 2 is expected to feature Apple's next-generation M5 chip, offering significantly improved performance for spatial computing tasks. The device may also be lighter, addressing one of the most common complaints about the current model.
